for the best womans
We can all agree that during winter and summer our skin has totally different needs. During summer, we tend to opt for more light-weighted cream and gel formulas, whereas during winter our skin needs way richer nourishment. Really frosty wind, cold rain, snow and other unfavorable weather conditions have a negative effect on our skin. It becomes way dryer, which is why it is so extremely important to ensure that it is nice and moisturized. Below we present a few, very useful tips and tricks on how to take a good care of your skin during the cold winter months.
After various heat waves during summer we are probably left with a few stubborn blackheads, which we cannot get rid of even with various cleansing face masks. Fortunately, the autumn-winter season is the perfect time to use beauty products with acids, which can softly exfoliate our skin and once and for all take care of our small imperfections. However, if this is the first time using acids then remember to first try products with more diluted solutions. It is necessary to add that if our skin is really, really dry, then it is better to put off exfoliation until our skin gets back to normal.
It certainly is the most important part of everyone’s skincare routine all year round. The bitter frost and dry air caused by heat coming out of our radiators makes our skin extremely dry. In order to try and fight it we need to stock up on good moisturizing products. Those can vary from nourishing creams with aloe Vera, glycerin, beeswax or hyaluronic acid. Another good solution would be to use overnight face masks and oils. It is recommended to use such products as almond, coconut or plum seed oil. Remember to use hydrating day creams which are not as thick as the night ones.
Skin which is very dry does not need very strong cleansing products. For example, do not buy a face wash which has SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) in it. It is a synthetic organic compound, which is often used in cleaning products, such as household chemicals. It messes with the pH value of our skin and can even cause different side effects, such as allergies and itchiness. Using an exfoliator with big chunks of microbeads is also not the best idea during the autumn-winter season. Instead, you should try enzymatic peelings, which do not dry our skin out and at the same time they exfoliate it.
We highly recommend you get a humidifier. Nowadays they are not as expensive as they were in the past and using a humidifier and drinking an extra glass of water can work wonders. They are great in adding moisture back to our skin, especially with radiators present in every place possible. Additionally, in some models we can even add a few drops of essential oils. They will make every room smell incredible. ‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away’ – a few simple steps can really have a significant impact on the overall state of our skin.
